Artist III, a PBS Hawaii special directed and filmed by Hawaii filmmaker Stuart Yamane won an EMMY in the Arts/Entertainment Program Special category at the 40th Annual Northern California Area Emmy Awards! Congratulations Stuart Yamane!
Artist III features taiko drumming with Kenny Endo (with Kirstin Pauka), classical Okinawan dance with Cheryl Nakasone, gallery design with Tom Globe, and noted artist and professor Snowden Hodges.

Artist III will air again on PBS Hawaii Presents on Thursday July 7 at 8:30 pm and 11 pm,
with an encore on Sunday, July 10 at 3 pm. Don’t miss it!

Kenny heading to Maui to lead workshops with Stanford Taiko and Zenshin Daiko and perform in Zenshin Daiko’s 12th Annual Taiko Festival
Saturday, June 18 at the Maui Theatre (Home of Ulalena) in Lahaina!

KETE prepping for “SOSEN,” a collaborative piece featuring taiko and bharatanatyam (South Indian classical dance). Sosen will be one of the featured dances at the Asia Pacific Dance Festival at the University of Hawaii on July 30 and 31.

Taiko Center of the Pacific’s Summer Taiko Intensives begin tomorrow, Monday, June 6th!
If you haven’t registered yet, come on down anyway!
12:30-2:15 pm chudaiko
2:30-4:15 pm taiko “set” (2-3 drums at one time!)

ALSO, Looking forward to working with Lopaka Colon, Makana, Kapua Dalire, Kapono Ciotti, and Daniel Paul for an IBM extravaganza this week!
