TAIKO for Fun, Fitness, and Cultural Awareness
Kenny Endo and the instructors of the Taiko Center of the Pacific teach traditional and contemporary Japanese drumming. Taking a holistic approach to the art of Taiko, TCP also educates students on aspects of Japanese culture, etiquette, and language while developing skills in rhythm and movement. Choose from classes for children, teens, and adults in the Beginning, Intermediate, and Advanced levels. Also, for those who want a focused study in more specific elements of taiko, check out ourĀ Summer Taiko Intensives.
Classes for the general public are held year-round. The one-hour classes meet every week on Sundays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays at various times depending on the class.
No experience is necessary.
Classes in Spring and Summer 2012 will be held at the HOT, Hawaii Opera Theatre, located at 780 S. Beretania Street, just Ewa of Ward Avenue.
