Summer Taiko Intensives
This summer, Kenny Endo and the Taiko Center of the Pacific offer intensive courses in Taiko drumming IN ADDITION to two five-week long summer classes. The Taiko intensives are for those who want a concentrated study in Taiko. Enrollment is limited.
All classes are held at Kapiolani Community College Annex Building (a.k.a. “The Chapel” located in the parking lot on the Diamond Head side of campus), 4303 Diamond Head Road, Honolulu, Hawaii.

Developing a strong foundation on the medium sized taiko (chu daiko) is the basis of practicing and performing in either a solo or group context. This workshop is geared for the beginner/ intermediate level and will cover basics such as centering, philosophy, stance, grip, hitting technique, and rhythmic consistency. | Taiko Set (multiple drum use and techniques)

Playing multiple drums will be the basis of this workshop. Utilizing traditional and non-traditional approaches, this workshop will be geared for the intermediate/ advanced level.
